Pesach Sweet and Sour Meatballs

B'nai Emet -> Departments -> Women's League -> Recipes -> Passover

Sauce Ingredients:

2 medium onions, chopped
½ head cabbage, grated
1 cup raisins
2 T. brown sugar
16 oz. tomato sauce
1 can water, add more as needed
1 t. lemon juice

Meatball Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef
2 T. onion powder, or one chopped onion
1 T. garlic powder, or one chopped clove of garlic
Salt and pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 potato, grated

Directions:

Combine sauce ingredients and cook while preparing meatballs.  Combine meatball ingredients and form into small meatballs.  Add meatballs to simmering sauce.  Lower heat and cook for 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
