B'nai Emet -> About our Synagogue -> Services -> MusicMusic has always been a beautiful part of our Jewish heritage and continues to be here at B’nai Emet. I have taken on the role of Music Coordinator, and I am seeking to enhance not only our Shabbat, holiday, and festival services, but all other simchas, programs, and events. For instance, the choir is now in full force rehearsing and preparing for the High Holy Days. On Friday evening, September 15, during the Shabbat Under the Stars service, you can come and listen to the beautiful music of Michael Winikoff and the choir. If you have an upcoming simcha (Bar/Bat Mitzvah, baby naming or Auf Rauf), I can help you select some special music appropriate for your celebration. There are a variety of melodies for many of the liturgies, such as Adon Olam, Oseh Shalom, V’Shamru, and the Shema. The cantor/choir office is filled with a wide selection ranging from traditional cantorial compositions to the contemporary music of Debbie Friedman. So, come to the synagogue and come often to hear, listen, and participate in our Jewish musical heritage. Contact Laura at the synagogue if you would like to participate in our music program. |
