B'nai Emet -> Departments -> Education Programs -> Shabbat Morning ProgramsIn the Beginning...There Was B'resheet!by Heidi Tarshish, B'resheet Director Regardless of the weather outside, feel it warm up quickly, when you come to
B'resheet!
As we sit in our circle, with arms around one another's shoulders, we welcome Shabbat
and each other as we sing the Ma Tovu. Each Shabbat morning we
join together with our Shabbat buddies, snow, rain or shine. We welcome
all of you, under the age of 10, to be part of our chevra. We play games,
make new friends and see old friends, lead our own service, talk about the Torah
portion and relate it to our own lives. We discuss our week, have a snack, and
there's always someone with whom to play, talk, or just relax. No reservation is
necessary! Come try us out! It may become a wonderful habit. We would love to
have you there. See you next Shabbat!
