B'nai Emet -> Departments -> Education Programs

Sunday School classes for this year will begin September 9, 9:30 to 11:30. Classes take place most Sunday mornings throughout the school year for children in kindergarten and grades 1 and 2. This year’s curriculum will include a unit on Jewish values, an in-depth unit on Torah, which will involve creating an individual picture Torah and learning many of the Torah stories and their relevance to young children. Jewish holidays will be explored and celebrated, with an in-depth unit on Shabbat.

This year will introduce family events designed not only for Sunday School but also for all congregational families with children in kindergarten through second grade. September 30 will be the first event—we will put the roof on the synagogue sukkah, make decorations and decorate the sukkah! Please save the date and watch for more details.
