What’s Up Doc

Your child’s current medical forms must be completed and signed by your health care source and returned to the Early Childhood Office prior to your child’s first day at school.  No child will be admitted into the program until the medical forms, including a physical exam and health history, and all immunizations are up to date.  New physical examinations are required each year.

Toddler forms must be completed for each child under 36 months.  Each child will receive a daily health check upon arrival at school.

Should a child become ill during the school day, that child is isolated from the other children and a parent is contacted to take the ill child home.

Keep Your Child Home If:

q       He/she has a fever or has had one during the previous 24 hours.

q       He/she has vomited or had diarrhea during the previous 24 hours.

q       He/she has a cold that is less than four days old.

q       He/she has heavy nasal drainage or a constant cough.

q       He/she is fussy, cranky, and generally not him/her self.

q       He/she is abnormally tired.

q       He/she has symptoms of a possible communicable disease:  sniffles, reddened eyes, sore throat, headaches, abdominal pain.

Please notify the school at once if your child does have a communicable disease.  Please call the school if your child will not be coming to school.

When all parents follow the above procedures, all children will remain healthier and miss fewer days of school.
