Free Tax Preparation and eFile,
Sundays from February 7 - April 11
Ed Mall, a volunteer for AARP, will be providing
free tax return preparation services to Bnai
Emet congregants. The service is intended for
members 50+ and those with limited incomes but
is available to all members on a first come,
first served basis. The synagogue office is now
taking appointments for 1 hour meetings on
Sundays from 9 AM – 4 PM. The first day for
meetings will be February 7, the last day is
April 11. Certain “more complicated” returns are
not eligible for this program, such as those
including a Schedule C (business profit and
loss), rental property, royalties, partnerships,
trusts and some others. Please call the office
to schedule an appointment.
to download a list of items to bring with you
for your tax return preparation meeting. Neither
Ed nor Bnai Emet receives a fee for this
service. In lieu of a fee, a donation to the
synagogue is appreciated (and may be deductible
for next year)! |
